Nothing quite beats the feeling of plunging your head under cool ocean waves, breathing in the salinity and feeling a part of the big, blue marble that we call Earth.

This February GET ONBOARD for SurFebruary, catch a wave each day and help raise vital funds for cancer patients and their familes.

HOW TO GET ONBOARD - IT'S AS EASY AS:

(1) Register solo or as a part of a team before 1st February. There are heaps of options, and registration is free. You’ll receive your very own Surfer Page to share with your family and friends, as well as a social media pack to help you tell others about your journey.

(2) Decide on your water-based activity. You don’t have to surf if it isn’t your thing. Swimming, kayaking or a beach run… the options are endless.

(3)  Ask your family and friends to sponsor your journey by sharing with them your Surfer Page link to donate.

(4) Get on board and take part every day during February.

(5) Join our Facebook community to share photos, surf reports and messages with other surfers.

In 2017, Arron Clark and Michael Durante created SurFebruary, a surf community event to help create awareness for cancer, and fundraise for Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.

Arron explains here why you should Get OnBoard!

"My wife Jenna-Lea was 28 years old and a new mum. How quickly life can change.

After an irregular pap smear, the results of subsequent cone biopsy were bad. Jenna-Lea was diagnosed with cervical adenocarcinoma, a rare type of tumour behind her cervical wall. Not only in a life threatening position, we were also advised there was strong likelihood we could never have any more children.

After 3 years of care and multiple surgeries including a modern trachelectomy procedure, through Professor Carter and his team at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, Jenna-Lea is a cancer survivor and has recently given birth to a miracle baby boy. Chris O’Brien Lifehouse saved my families future."

It’s now our time to give back to the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.  Arron Clark and Michael Durante created SurFebruary, a surf community event to help create awareness for cancer, and fundraise for Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.

We all have a friend, family member or loved one who has been affected by cancer, now it’s time to help. Get healthy and fit by surfing everyday in February, create awareness for cancer, and help those in need.
