Herma lived life well, finding love and fulfilment in literature, music, film, theatre, cryptic crosswords, art, social justice, food, nature, travel, and people. Despite the ordeal she suffered during her illness, her experience at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse was a positive one, and the treatment she received always very caring and committed.
