Hugh McMaster was a good friend to me and my wife Gai for more than 50 years.

We have appreciated how Hugh has supported our son over the years. He has been such a kind and encouraging father-in-law. I remember on our first visit to Australia in 2014 how Hugh told us that he was there to stand behind Lee and support him at all times. I appreciated his cheerful and loving speech at Kat and Lee's wedding. The picture of Hugh shaking hands with Lee when Lee became an Australian citizen has always meant so much to us.I loved seeing him interact with his grandkids. He has such a kind and loving heart.
