Laura bravely chose to shave her hair to raise funds for Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in support of her best mate Pat.
“I have known Pat and his family for 30 years. He was diagnosed with osteosarcoma this year. His father, Kevin, is also going through cancer treatment.
“I decided to shave my hair and raise funds for Chris O’Brien Lifehouse as Pat said his treatment there has been nothing short of amazing and that he wanted to give back to Lifehouse. I also lost my beautiful Dad to cancer two years ago and I wish I had done something like this for him.”
Laura raised an incredible $4,666. smashing her target of $500 in almost 48hrs.
“It felt good to provide an avenue for others to show support for Pat and Kev and I love that my kids and students (Laura is a teacher) think my new hair is cool! I want to say a big thank you to the staff who are providing care to Pat and Kev. To know that loved ones are receiving great care means so much to us all.”
