To Gina mou, agape mou, my precious and irreplaceable friend. I am totally bereft that you have departed us so suddenly and far, far too soon. I adored your direct, open and cheeky approach to life. I was in awe of your astounding intelligence and multifaceted talent. I was amazed at your multiplicity of connections, whereby you could access anything or anyone as needed. But most importantly, I cherished your ability to sense and reach out to soothe another’s profound pain, as when I lost my beloved soulmate, Andrew. At my most broken, it was your embracing arms and shower of kisses that lifted up my shattered soul. I know that Andrew has now welcomed you with open arms and his trademark, ‘Love you. Mean it!’ greeting. Dearest Gina, there’s a huge whole in my heart without you here. Sitting with you for story-time is a joy I won’t forget and can’t believe I won’t experience again. The way you told stories was hilarious and charming. You were a sight to see when solving a problem because no one else’s mind twists the way yours could. Your relationships were reciprocal because you were trusting and positive and we couldn’t help returning the vibes. Your generosity had no limits because helping someone or just making them happy, it was all the same to you. The food on your desk, the clothes in your bag, your time – whatever you could give away, you did. Tony, Bella and Helena, I’m full of sorrow for your beautiful family. Gina, I’ll honour your life always and I’ll miss you forever. You were my favourite.

Gina, Your kindness, authenticity and leadership was the warm embrace that will continue to give us comfort. It was a privilege spending time with you and seeing first-hand the impact you had on those around you, including me. You were my Deputy through high school and after that my Super Greek Principal. I will miss waltzing into your office everyday, seeing your smile and hearing you say “hello Miss Georgia!”. Your door was always open, you were always ready to listen and you always lifted everyone around you. While Dulwich will not be the same without you, the impact you had will last forever. My deepest condolences to Gina's family and close friends for your heartbreaking loss. Gina always had a calming presence and supportive attitude no matter how complicated a situation may have been. It was a great pleasure watching her, as a school leader, interacting so joyfully with students whether it be on the footy field or netball court, at school assemblies or in the playground. I have only known Gina for a few months through work. Very quickly it became clear to me what a beautiful person she was, how very humane, kind and gracious she was even in times which were very challenging for her.
