Our mum, Catherine, was the embodiment of love. She was constantly smiling and raised us in a home filled with laughter. She was an eternally optimistic person, something that never changed. Even after she got diagnosed, she still somehow found the light. Mum loved colour, and when she got sick bought the brightest yellow bedsheets she could find and a sun catcher that reflects rainbows all over our living room. We hope her optimism and ability to find the light inspire people to hope for a better outcome for those diagnosed with pancreatic and other cancers. The care shown to her at the Chris O'Brien Lifehouse throughout her diagnosis, treatment and final days was exceptional and made her journey a little easier. Our family is endlessly grateful, and we know Mum would appreciate any donations made to support those in a similar situation.
