It is with mixed emotions I announce my resignation from the position of CEO. Leading this exceptional organisation has been a privilege and a source of immense joy. The passion and dedication displayed by our team, donors like you, and the entire Chris O’Brien Lifehouse community have been truly inspiring.
Together, we have made a significant impact on the lives of countless cancer patients and their families.
As I finish up my time as CEO at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, I am pleased to present the spring edition of OpenHouse. This issue reflects on significant milestones as we approach the hospital’s tenth anniversary this November. You will also discover the benefits of making chemotherapy on-site, learn about traditional healing from one of the world’s oldest cultures, and meet Amy O’Donnell, one of our Specialist Care Nurses who has been with us since our inception.
While my time at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse is coming to a close, it brings me immense pleasure to introduce Professor Michael Boyer AM as the Acting CEO of Chris O’Brien Lifehouse. Professor Boyer is a respected figure in the field of oncology who has been with the hospital from the beginning and brings impressive experience in research, leadership, and patient care.
I have no doubt that under his guidance, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse will continue to flourish and expand its mission of providing exceptional cancer care.
Once again, I extend my heartfelt thanks for your extraordinary support, which has made a lasting impact on the lives of many.
