In 2021 Katrina was diagnosed with meningioma (a tumor from membranes that surround the brain).
“My diagnosis and treatment flipped my life upside down. My second surgery was 3 weeks after my son, Carter, was born.
I have had the blessing of receiving all my treatment at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and their care has been beyond incredible.”
Grateful for her care Katrina was keen to give back and fundraise for Chris O'Brien Lifehouse and challenged herself to walk 100kms in May- with her favourite walking buddy- her dog Odin.
She set her sights on raising $2500 and raised over $2,800!
“The facilities, doctors, nurses, and staff are just wonderful. Through my scariest time, I felt as safe and as supported as could be.”
